Long day

Today was a very long, exhausting day. The weather was fabulous, 84 and sunny. Emma had field day. Steven ran 10 miles. And there was a Switchfoot concert...right outside our window. We were exhausted from the day so we didn’t stay down long. But this concert was louder than last week so it was harder the get to sleep. Emma was still hungry so I let her finish the rest of her ice cream on the balcony while she and I listened. Then she came and sat on my lap and I rocked her a little while we listened. She would have fallen asleep if I hadn’t made her go in to brushed her teeth. Thankfully this concert ended early and she was able to get to sleep before 9. Hopefully she sleeps in!
I have tons of videos from field day, but I will not get to those for a couple days...busy weekend.

She loved the limbo

This was the extent of the concert that Steven participated in....half a song. He has to work tomorrow.

Don’t know if you can tell, but somehow she followed her friends down to the front. She is the the right of the girl in red. When I found her I made her come back. Too loud!

There were a lot of people here! It really was a good veneer, if it was the middle of the day I would have really enjoyed it more. So glad they got someone good to come over. Usually these events get cancelled.

Enjoying her snack on the balcony. We got this new set up just in time! The earmuffs are because it was too loud. Daddy went to bed with earphones on. She crawled on my lap during their cover of “Lean on Me.” 😊  And now I am going to bed!
