Night 'out'

Tonight after dance class, Emma and I had dinner and a movie. They have started showing old movies on base at the theater, once a week, for special needs or sensory sensitive kids...or in our case, little kids. They leave the lights on, it's free, you can bring snacks from home. Tonight they were playing Frozen. So after pizza, which is literally right by dance class, we went to the movies. Emma had never been to a movie before...she is very sensitive to loud noises, and I know the emotions from the movie are enhanced with the loud volume and large screen, and quite frankly she is kind of scares easy...So I thought we would try this out. She did great...actually she was the only little kid to finish the movie. It was so much fun, just to sit and enjoy this with her. We have been pretty stressed lately, and this was a much needed break. :)
Pizza first! (Since we didn't have time to go home in between.)
My date...she chose pop tarts for her snack.
It was so much fun to watch her watch the movie! She is growing so fast , every time I watch this with her is different. When Anna said her heart  was frozen, Emma said, "she needs to ask God for a new heart."

I couldn't figure out why all the other people sat in the front row...
But I guess I forget she can barely see over the seats in front of us.
So I let her sit on my lap.
It was a fabulous time.
I may have let her dance on the stage during the credits.
There was an older couple in the back. After the movie they told me they enjoyed watching her a much as the movie.

  1. I do think Emma would be as entertaining as the movie. LOL How great that you two can enjoy dinner and a movie together!
