Cutting things

So the other night, Emma and I got distracted do I go some crafty things...namely, putting up this:
She wanted to do Daddy's name.
I have been wanting to have some sort of alphabet and numbers thing, and since wekas leftover poster board and letters from Daddy's sign, we used them. I was cutting up poster board, and Emma wanted to use the scissors sooo bad, but they looked big and dangerous in her hands, so I looked in my craft drawer and just happened to have some little scissors that were just perfect for her. She was so excited. So she cut and cut and cut...lots of scrap paper, under supervision. However, she saw where I put them away. So today while I was in the shower and Daddy was at work, she pushed a chair up for a stool, and climbed up to get them out, and started cutting things...her hair:
Also: Polly's ponytail, princess' hair, pony's mane, her apron, green Dolly's nobly ribbon, and kitty's whiskers.
Thankfully nothing too awful, but she did learn that once you cut things, mommy can't fix them. And I learned that ALLthe scissors need to be out of climbing reach. And Mommy and Daddy both had a talk with her.
She is getting more curious these days, and helps herself to things more. Sometimes nice...she climbed to get an orange off the counter, peeled it, threw peelings away, got a bowl for it and ate it. But this was not one of those times. Oh well. She is also (mostly) much better  behaved now that Daddy is home, too. It's weird the effect he has on her.
