Mothers Day Weekend

Weekends here are exhausting...quite a change from our normal routine. This weekend we had fun getting to celebrate with both families, and see some friends from California who just happened to be in Kansas. On Saturday with hung out with the Bencys, and then took over some donuts for breakfast on Sunday morning after early church. Then we had Sunday lunch with the Roses and headed to Manhattan. We actually have a couple of CA friends who are from KS, so it was exciting to get to hang out while they were here. Emma was so excited to see her friends. We spent a couple hours at the park and went to McCalisters for dinner...who was apparently giving out a free dessert to all the moms. :)
Emma made this for me. :)
Helping Grandma Connie plant flowers
Chilling at the park with Aunt Faith
Climbing with Carter
She did not want to go down this slude at all, so Aunt Faith went with her...she obviously loved it. "Again!"
I don't know why 3 year olds must close their eyes when they smile.
Carter's driving was too crazy for Emma.
Playing in the sand with Faith.
Hugs for Aunt Faith at McCallisters.
