Sacramento Zoo

Today we finally went to the zoo. Emma has been having a lot of trouble sleeping since we have been at the hotel room...naps are all off, and this morning she woke up at 4:38AM. So that meant nap time was at like 8AM. So we didn't get to the zoo until lunch time, apparently the same time every other child in Sacramento decided to go. But we had fun. She especially loved the flamingos...they were close, big, noisy and moving all around. Some of the animals must have been inside since it was hot, but we also saw, a jaguar, tiger, lion, giraffes, ostriches, zebras, lemurs who hopped around for us and other monkeys who swung all around. She was not a fan of the reptiles...when she would actually realized where they were, so close to her on the other side of the glass, she got scared. And we lost a binky to the tiger/lion, I didn't figure I should climb the fence to go get it. We also rode the carousel before we left. :) It was a good time...it was especially nice to get out of our hotel room and get to enjoy something in our new home. (They had road runners in their zoo...which is funny because they had them all over Texas.)
Checking out the pond.

Peeking at the flamingos

Checking out a horn bill (bird)

Playing on some rocks.

Ready, set go! Emma says this and then Daddy does something silly.

That looks like fun!

She warmed up to it the longer we were on.
