Yesterday housing called us to tell us they had a house to offer us. So we called back to today/then went to base to check it out, and this is what we have found out:
We can move in July 2nd.
It is a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath house, with a 1 car garage and partially enclosed patio. (2 stories)
The 2-bedroom housing lady (Robyn Reynolds) told us that she thinks it is about 900 square feet. I think that estimate might be a little small, since that is what our old house was. It seems much better arranged though.
It is across the street from the park that we take Emma to when we are on base. :)
It is down the street from Fire Station 2.
We can put up a fence if we want, but when you see the view from our house, you will understand why we might wait to do that.
It is on a hill, with no homes behind it, so we have a beautiful, unobstructed view from our back yard.
Also, we have to get Pepper checked out by the base vet before we move in. However, between the vet's availability and Steven's schedule, the ONLY time in the whole next month that we could get her in is next Tuesday at 8:30. Steven gets off at 7:30 Tuesday morning, and it takes an hour to get from the station to our hotel, so Emma and I will have to take him to work Sunday morning and pick him up Tuesday morning and then go to breakfast and the vet.
UPDATE: Steven said on the floor plan she gave us it said 1050 (1067)sqft, not counting the stairs or garage. I took pictures of the floor plan and posted them, too.
And here are some pictures. The first few are what she sent us of the inside. The last ones I took as we drove by. We are pretty excited.
