Sorry for the onslaught of posts, but Emma is taking a long nap, and my blogger thing uploads them out of order if I save them for later, so you get to see them all now. Emma had her 18-month appointment on Tuesday, and yes, I know she is 19 months.
Here are the results:
She weighs 18lbs 9oz, which is less than the 1st percentile. She is 30.25 inches tall, 9th percentile. They told me to fatten her up...again. So that makes two out of the three members of our family who are trying to gain weight. Anyway, she also has cavities, so we are now brushing her teeth twice a day, once with toothpaste, and we are to find a children's dentist in CA.
Also, I don't know if you can see in the picture below, but Emma has a 'pea-sized, hard, cystic structure' on her eyelid, or under her eyelid. He said to watch it and to tell her new Pediatrician if it has changed, because it may need to be removed.
She also got two shots, and became extremely ornery while she was only wearing her diaper while waiting for the doctor. I think she gets ornerier when she is naked.
So that is her update. Also, I am in the process of weaning her, since she has taken to chewing on me when she nurses...it isn't pleasant. She isn't a fan, but she doesn't protest too much either. And the poor girl, I also have stopped holding her and carrying her so much. I used to carry a giant bag around with all our stuff in it. It weighed more than Emma, and I my back has started to hurt, so I have stopped carrying it and her as much as I can. She actually protests that much more than the weaning. But she will get used it and hopefully my back will start to feel better.
