A puppy on your head

Emma loves playing with Aunt Grace...who love being silly and playing with Emma. Last week, Aunt Grace put a beanie puppy on Emma's head. Emma thought it was silly, and she couldn't get it off. She would turn her head from side to side, with a silly grin, but it took her a few tries to get it off. It was super cute.

Don't think I have updated everyone on how we are doing...

We are doing pretty good. Emma is growing a lot, as you can see...I think she had a growth spurt last week, and is apparently having another one this week. She can say Mama, Hi Daddy, Hi puppy/Pepper, and she is doing good at getting the syllables out for Hi grandpa, night night (she said nigh), thank you, etc. She mostly claps for 'yes' but can also hold her hands up for 'finished,' and do the sign for 'drink.'Some of her skills come and go. She is eating more now too...yogurt, applesauce, chicken, refried beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cereal/puffs,  ice cream and anything else she or the grandparents can convince me to give her...or that they give her without telling me.  She does, however, not like carrots or peas. But we will keep trying. She really wants to eat what is on our plates. She loves to pull up on anything she can, and is starting to cruise along furniture. She just seems to do new things everyday. The other day she stood up, not holding on to anything, for ten seconds. It is hard to believe it has almost been a whole year!
