Sea Paradise

Caution: LONG POST. (There are a ton of pictures, most of the videos are very short.)
On Saturday Emma and I went to Sea Paradise...which is a combination aquarium, Sea World, and Amusement Park. It was a fun day, but long. We went on the ITT trip, which is a tour sponsored by the base. We had to be on the bus by 0645 and got home around 2030...or 8:30pm. The trip didn’t seem too long for us, we are used to it taking forever to get anywhere. We started off in the aquarium, which was a hundred times better than the one in Monterey, and it wasn’t even that busy. After the aquarium we watched the dolphin show, which Emma loved. I figured we understood about as much as the dolphins. Then we ate lunch...hamburgers were about as adventurous as we felt. Getting food and water was an experience, we guess wrong on which one was water a few times.  Thankfully they have pictures and 3D displays of the food. We tried to then go to the area where you can touch the animals, but they weren’t cooperating. She did get to touch a penguin though. After that we were getting tired...it was hot and muggy. We walked back to see if the polar bear was awake (he was), and tried to watch the nature movie. Once we got in there I realized of course it was going to be in Japanese, but at east we got to sit inside in the dark for a little bit. Oh well. We did a little shopping, but not much. Emma wanted an umbrella like the Japanese girls to shade her from the sun. And we got some dippin dots! We rode the ferry around the park, and then rode the carousel. By this time we were exhausted and my head started to ache. We tried again to get water, guessed wrong a couple times, but finally found it. We also heard a marching band in the distance so we walked all the way there, sat down and listen. By this time my head was pounding, Emma was tired of walking, and we just wanted to get home. But dinner.  We may have just eaten ice cream for dinner. She ate hers all the way to the bus. Except when we got on the bus she realized she left her bag at the ice cream place. The very nice tour guide took us all the way back, a half mile into the park, to get her stuff. He came with us so they wouldn’t leave without us. It was fun, but exhausting. I think it would have been better if either Steven was with us or if we had gone with someone else...just need another adult. I don’t know if we will do another one of these trips, but I hope we can figure out the train system so we can just go on our own....and come back on our own. But we did have fun, and we got to see a lot of stuff.
