Goodbye Pepper

Today we said goodbye to our beloved dog Pepper. It has been a hard day. Here are some of our final moments and memories. 

Going for one last walk.

Such good buddies. I've never let Emma have the whole leash before.

One last hug before preschool.

She stayed up here the whole drive. 

Still doesn't like having her picture taken.

She had her eyes closed for most of my good pictures.

She tried to lay down.

After I finished with the appointment, I went back to preschool for a special snack time with parents. They made a deployment notebook, where each child told the teacher what deployment means and then drew a picture. Seriously, there was no way I was not going to cry when they showed me this.
