This weekend Emma and I had a girls weekend with Grandma Connie and Aunt Suzanne. Aunt Suzanne couldn't join us until the afternoon, but we still had fun going to garage sales and getting ice cream. For dinner we all went to Taco Via, then Emma got a new swimming suit. We went home and played with jewelry, then it was time for bed. The next morning Emma woke up early, so we headed out to get donuts. Then Grandma Connie painted Emma's nails and we headed to church. Afterwards we got some pool toys, and went to HyVee for food...and so Emma could push the little green cart again. However, in the middle of our trip she stated acting, well, not her usual self, so we took a nap after lunch. But even that didn't seem to help, so we stayed home instead of going swimming. We were a little bummed out, but it was just too much excitement for a little girl...who is already out of anything resembling a normal routine this summer. But we still had fun hanging out together, and hopefully will get to use her new swimming suit soon...and also get pictures with Sunt Suzanne as I apparently failed to do that, too.
Garage saling with Grandma Connie. Emma loves to pay for things.
She was looking for 'something for my daddy.'
Perfect little ice cream cone.
She managed to eat the whe thing without it dripping.
It was a nice treat on a hot day.
Getting donuts bright and early!
Waiting in the pink chair.
"We're friends Papa Steve!" She was very snuggly after her nap...even laid down on her bed by herself.
We watched some Say Yes to the Dress this weekend...and Emma has been obsessed with weddings/dancing lately. So she was pretending to dance with her 'prince' yesterday...I told her she better wait for Daddy to get back to ask him if she could get married. ;) but anyway, she was in a dancing mood, so she made me dance with her. Here is the link.
