Miscellaneous cuteness

Here are a few pictures from the last couple days. Emma's makeshift apron, and stacking stuff at the gym.

Organizing with Emma

Emma loves to line things up, stack them, and clean up. Apparently some of this is due to her two-year-oddness, but some of it is just her. Today she lined up her books and then stacked them, then went upstairs and did the same thing with her diapers. Oh, and for now, instead of buying a new booster seat, we went old school and used books like we did when I was a kid...only we had to use my giant Bible reference books instead of phone books.
This is what I did for Thanksgiving...

Dancing to Skillet

This morning I was cleaning in the kitchen and had Air1 on, as I sometimes do. And Emma loves music...in fact, whenever she hears ANY music she just starts dancing. (She really is paying a lot of attention to sounds lately, pointing out every time she hears a plane...and she notices EVERY car or truck that drives  by, especially when Daddy isn't home, she thinks they are all his truck.) Anyway, enjoy Emma dancing to Skillet.

Don't worry, be happy

I taught Emma once to say, " don't worrying, be happy." She said it all on her own the other day, it's so cute. She also says things like " wow! Lotta poop, Mom, lotta poop!" Every time I change her diaper. Anyway, here are some random pictures from my phone, enjoy!
Rocking her dolly in Daddy's chair.
Monkey and dog!
Working out with Mom.
She woke up from hep nap yesterday with a fever, so we just snuggled and watched Frozen. She had a little fever this morning, but she seemed to be feeling a little better.

Emma and I have discovered pumpkin smoothies at Jamba Juice. 😊

iphones and dance class

I can't remember if I said before or not, but Steven and I both got new phones this week. His ipod died one day a while ago and so he decided he just wanted to go ahead and get smart phones...and my phone only worked about half the time, and they are having a good deal for the Christmas season, so we went ahead and got the new iphone. Steven has really enjoyed it...he can now access normal internet at work, and has been having lots of fun with his new toy. I haven't had as much time to play with mine, however, I have noticed several advantages, one of which is that I can now take videos of Emma at dance class! (Not to mention the extra pictures and how easy it is to upload them.) In fact I have 4 videos from dance class AND several pictures I have taken this week. Hopefully this means more on the blog. Aren't you all glad we finally got some new technology?

Happy Friday!

Sparkly cat and Thursday night football

At chapel on Sunday we are decorating for Christmas, and they want each family to bring an ornament to put on the tree. I let Emma pick one out...she picked out a very sparkly kitty cat. She found it yesterday and was very excited. And sorry that the other picture is blurry, but this is Emma's outfit for today...since the Chiefs are playing the Raiders tonight for Thursday Night Football. Yay...although we won't be able to watch the game. :(
See my kitty!

Can you see me now?

Go Chiefs!

California cold, and the "hat" game

Emma apparently was cold Sunday morning. She pulled herself up to the heater while sitting in the dolly stroller. I moved it farther away from it, so she scooted up closer. Oh well.
And the other night while skyping with Grandma Connie, Emma got some potholders and put them on our heads as 'hats.' Then we counted to 3 and let them fall off. We played for quite a while, apparently the hat game never gets old.

She wanted Pepper to play the hat game, too.

Wait for it...

Here is a video that Steven took last Friday when I was gone. I promise you we never taught her to do this, and I have't seen her do it since. He said she did it like 10 times before he could get the video of it. Enjoy.

P.S. For those who are still wondering what she was doing, she was making farting noises on her hand while laying on the floor watching Curious George,

Cleaning, Counting, and Christmas

So Emma can count to 13 now, if we can only get her to say 4 instead of 9. But she really can do it. And she even knows some of the alphabet...like if I say, J, she says K. We have been trying to watch less TV, which means we need more activities. She does pretty good if I can just keep her busy. And she gets smarter because we practice our counting and we read a lot more....which leads me to Christmas. As I was talking to Aunt Grace this morning, it dawned on me that maybe I should update people on what Emma likes or is doing now...so that those who are shopping foe her will have a better idea of what to get. She loves books, board books to be specific, otherwise she rips the pages. She also loves to do things she has to concentrate on, building, stacking, lining things up, putting things together...something to keep her occupied. She also likes to throw things, and I try to encourage that within boundaries...like how she liked the game at the fall festival. She is a size 18 mos (or 24 if you are afraid she will outgrow it), and a size 5 shoe. I put some random things on my amazon list for her, and movies are fine, but I am a little picky about what I will let her watch, so if you have questions you can always ask. And you can always get stuff to dress up in or toys for Pepper, because they have lots of fun playing together. Hopefully that helps.
I don't usually like her to climb up here, but she was cleaning...got the sponge all by herself.

Too busy stirring the cornbread batter to smile.

Halloween take two

I forgot to post these pictures from my iPad that I took Halloween morning, right after I put Emma's costume on her. She was tired because she didn't sleep well the night before, but she was happy because she thought it was great to get to be a cat.

Mommy I Nake!

Emma has some new phrases that she says, "I nake!" I poop me!" And she is getting good at counting, although we need to work on 4, she likes to say, 2, 3, 9. She really likes 9. She also did fabulous in dance class today...she did most all of the activities and songs, and she was, of course, the cutest one there. Imagine the tiniest (although a bit ornery) ballerina ever. :) Anyway, here are a few pictures from the last couple days.
Where's Emma?

There she is!

Rainbows, Lips, and Tutus

Emma seems to be getting back to being herself...sleeping better, happier, etc. Still acting like a two-year-old, but much more manageable. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
Checking out the double rainbow with daddy.

Isn't she beautiful?

Watching the mowers, a weekly highlight along with the trash trucks.

I was cleaning and told her to take this upstairs, instead she took it to daddy to put on her.
