Crunching leaves

Emma has been enjoying Fall, since there are so many leaves on the ground to crunch under your feet!
We had lots of fun playing outside the other day...thankful it's warm enough we can play outside!
Crunching leaves...

is so much fun!!!

She always moves them out of the way after she crunches them.

This must be for me to sit on!

Hi Mom.

Look, Daddy's home!

I'm peeking again!

Playing with Dad on Thanksgiving.

Random silliness

Here are a couple more pictures from the last week or so.

She did this on her own.

They were all out of the princess tents, so Emma got a Spiderman tent.

This is Emma's chair today. I think she is hoarding.

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

Well, we are still here. Just busy being tired. For an entire week, Emma was up every hour, and then would be up in the middle of the night for a couple of hours on top of that. I think she must have been teething. Nut for now she is kind of starting to sleep better...she isn't up every hour at least. And she is going to bed at a more normal hour, which is nice.
This Thanksgiving we went to our friends' house...he works with Steven. We have been around them several times in the past couple weeks, and let me say that Emma has made a new friend. She kept going into the kitchen while Erin was busy cooking (for 17 people) and saying, 'hi' to her. Then she sat across the table from us and Emma just smiled and said, 'hi' some more. Emma will not willingly go from me to many people,  but she wanted to chill with Erin, so she did. She helped stir the gravy and whatever this is. Then Erin even let her take a bite. Needless to say, Emma had a fabulous Thanksgiving. She played with the kids, and made me chase her all over their house. I think she helped me work off at least some of the delicious calories I consumed. How nice of her. :)

Quick update

I need to upload some pictures to post, but in the meantime, here is one from the other day. Emma was very sleepy.

Tiny Baby Emma

I should have done this yesterday and called it 'Throw-back Thursday." But today I got on the computer and Emma saw a picture of her and Daddy. So we looked at some old pictures and videos of tiny baby Emma. She was so small!
Emma was only a couple weeks old here.
Now she can carry my moose around.

Emma about this time last year.

Last Thanksgiving.

Somebunny loves me

These pictures are from the other day. Emma had a shower that day, so her hair was nice and clean and shiny blonde, and she had just woken up from a nap, so she was happy...and she was outside. I thought she was too cute not to share. :)

Oh, it's bright. I need my sunglasses.

Is this how they go on?

Ahh, that's better.
I feel like I need to do an update on what Emma is doing lately. She is learning new things everyday. She usually listens very good. She loves anything that sings songs, and she loves to dance...in fact I will try to post the head-banging video this week. She usually only climbs up one step, and then either comes back down or waits for one of us to take her upstairs for whatever reason. She says lots of 'words' and we can understand some of them...but if you aren't around her you won't understand much. For example, she grunts for yes, and nods her whole body. And she has an ornery face most of the time when she shakes her head no. She is very good at saying thank you, even without telling her to. Her favorite food is blueberries. I am pretty sure she said 'yellow' last week, and even pointed to it on a page when I asked her to. She also is signing 'please,' now, thanks to Daddy. She almost always says yes when I ask her if she wants to go night night. Last night at our church's Thanksgiving dinner, Emma 'played' with the other kids. She 'spun around' (moved her arms around) and jumped (moved her arms up and down). She had a blast until her tummy became upset. She walks and runs everywhere. She LOVES to be chased...especially while holding the phone and talking to grandma. She takes showers with us and loves it. She loves to have two binkies. And she is basically in 9 month clothes, or sometimes 12 months with cloth diapers....last time we were at the doctor she weighed like 17lbs. She is a small girl, and apparently needs to eat every two hours. :) She also loves her accessories...anything that resembles a purse or bracelet, shoes, socks, she loves them! She loves to skype and watch videos of herself on the ipad. Well, that is all I can think of for now!

Pumping Iron

Last night we all went to the gym. I put Emma in her gym clothes, too. And she was so cute, I had to share. Unfortunately, Emma only lasted 15 minutes, but I suppose that might have something to do with the fact that she got up at 4:30AM yesterday. Oh well. One of these years she will sleep through the night...maybe when she is 12.

Doing squats

Flexing with Daddy.

Veteran's Day

On Veteran's Day, we went out a bunch with some people from Steven's work. For breakfast he went out and got a free stack of pancakes at Denny's. Then for lunch we all went to Texas Roadhouse, and only had to pay for Emma's meal. For dinner, we went out as a family to Olive Garden then headed to Home Depot to walk off our crazy day of free food. It was fun!
Hiding under a napkin at Olive Garden.

Mom  put a hat on her at Home Depot.

Playing peek-a-boo in the cart.
And by the way, Emma actually said peek-a-boo today, very clear.
Finally got to get out and run around.

Reading to Pepper

Emma loves books. Emma loves Pepper. Emma loves sitting on Pepper's bed. So here she is sitting on Pepper's bed, reading books. Don't know how Pepper feels about it, but she is very well-behaved toward Emma. If Emma is bothering her she just leaves. Emma is usually very kind, though. She loves to give Pepper pats.

Brrr...what is this cold outside?

We have had a couple of cold days here and there, so we had to bundle Emma up. :) Thankfully it hasn't been too cold, as she needs more warm clothes. These are some 6 months clothes from Aunt Emily from Christmas last year.
Weird face, but you can still see how cute she is.

Hat and gloves from Jennifer....they came off in the car.

All the colors

I love colors....I am one of those people who gets excited about the 17 different colors of pens and highlighters that I have. I always point out all the colors of wildflowers down here...and this year I get to point out every tree that is changing color...that doesn't usually happen down here. But a few days ago, I made Steven come outside so he could see the sunset. It was gorgeous. Even took a good picture, which is hard to do. We had fabulous sunsets every night in Idaho...one of the few things I miss about there.

Same tree from the picture above.

Sleepy girl

Most of the pictures I will post in the next few days are from Steven's ipod, over the last couple weeks.
We had to wake her up to get some shots. :(

I didn't want to have to do it, she seemed so peaceful.

Fell asleep on the way home from church.

Outside

Emma loves to be outside. It got pretty cold for a couple days this week, so we didn't go out much...mostly because of the wind. But I let her walk around outside for a little, she just loves to be out there.
You shall not pass.

I couldn't get her to look at me once.

She loves to walk around.

Saturday morning cartoons

One of the reasons I am glad that Steven is home is because he lets me sleep in, when he can. :) Saturday morning, I was very tired, as Emma had been up three hours in the night...but she apparently didn't need anymore sleep after 6AM or so. Ugh. Thankfully, Daddy got up with her and I barely even noticed that she cried. This is what they did while I was sleeping.
Snacking on puffs and cheerios.
Watch Tom and Jerry on Daddy's laptop.

Climbing the stairs

So while I was busy the other day, Steven was teaching Emma how to climb the stairs. He says she did the first one on her own, so he just helped her climb the next few. Oh well, she doesn't seem as adventurous as I was, so hopefully I won't have to watch out for this for a while...unless Daddy keeps encouraging her.
A little hesitant

Don't worry, Emma, Daddy will help you. :/

Look how high I am, Momma!
