Pumpkin Farm, part 1.

Tuesday afternoon we all went to the Pumpkin Farm. It's about 7 or 8 miles away, so close for us. This was by far our best trip there yet...not too many people, great weather, and Emma knew what to expect and was very excited for it. It was a good outing.
Feeding the goats. Emma only wanted to feed the baby goats, so Daddy had to feed the big ones so they wouldn't butt in.
Everything else was too exciting to actually look at me.

She liked the train!
And the slide!
She also liked the tires, but needed some help.
She also did the carousel, but Steven has those pictures...when I get them I will post them.

Firefighters

This is fire prevention week, and the FD was at the school this week with a truck and the smokehouse. We stopped by, I thought it might be scary...it was not. And well , Daddy IS a firefighter, so I thought it would be fun to go. Emma was so good, we got to see her in her class...quietly standing in line, catching glances at us, shyly waving, but never coming over to see us. She was so cute. She came home super excited bout firefighters, as if they were some cool new thing. "They are here to help!"
In the middle of her class checking out the fire truck, they got a call and had to quickly get all the kids off.
Emma is the one in all turquoise, holding her pink hat up.
"This is amazing!"
"I'm going to be a firefighter forever!"
She has an ambulance full.
Now she is driving them.

Chipmunk cheek buddies!

So I found these grapes that I like, holiday grapes....big, juicy, sweet. Emma and I really like them, we eat the all the time. She likes to put them in her cheeks like a chipmunk.
Chipmunk cheek buddies!
She found some old clothes in her closet during quiet time.
Reading to puppy at the library.
She burner her arm on a pan, and while I felt bad for her, she did sit still for an hour like this on my lap, holding her Minion boo-boo buddy on her arm.
We had to go to the courthouse to get me finger-printed so I could volunteer in her class. She told the security guard, "I'm having lunch (dinner) with my dad!"

Helping...sort of

Emma is such a good helper. When I cook, she is getting to know what I need, and just gets it out for me. She also enjoys helping take the trash out...or just doing it all herself...including replacing the old bags. However, this week especially she has tried to help in ways that were not so helpful. Cleaning up her own messes has proven to be more of a problem than the actual messes themselves. I definitely need to pay better attention. As she gets older, and she can do more things, i try to let her do them, but I'm sensing we need to reign her in a little bit.
Having breakfast with pony before school.
Making broccoli salad for daddy.
Cleaning lip gloss off the wall...cleaning up her own messes isn't really much of a punishment for her. Yesterday I was frustrated enough to not let her help clean up her mess, after she tried, twice, to do it herself.
Pepper checking out the puppy Emma got at Awana.
Chipmunk cheeks eating grapes.

Finding Dory

On Saturday the base theater showed Finding Dory. Emma and I went, and we sat by Ada. It was a fun, noisy time. Movies like this on base can be noisy because of all the kids on the theater...it's free, and there are babies and toddler, too. But we still had fun!
Popcorn buddies!

Preschool!

Today was Emma's first day of preschool!  She was so excited, and kept telling people, "My mom's gonna cry." But I didn't! I was so glad Steven got to be there, too.
She did great. We got there early to check it out, and then all the kids came and she seemed fine, especially when Ada sat by her. :)

Guees who is home!

Daddy's home again! We are enjoying having him back.
Backpack buddies!
She had to try her Cinderella costume on for him.
He had to go back to work on Sunday, and we weren't going to go see him...But she was missing her daddy, so we stopped by. :)
