Fun-filled Friday

This morning Emma and I were very busy shopping...we got all kinds of things...some of which you will see below. She is such a fun girl to shop with...if she has her snacks with her. She waves hi to everyone. It's so much fun to be her mom. :)
Helping me with the laundry. She pulls something out, brings it to me and I fold it. Repeat. That is how we do laundry.

She wasn't feeling good...fell asleep watching Toy Story.

She has never done this before...I quite enjoyed it. :)

Pepper got into the bags after we got home. She found what was for her, notice the tags are still on. She just grabbed it while I wasn't looking and started playing with it.

Emma got a new chair...it is an outside chair. But I had to bring it inside to get her to come in.

Old picture of a wagon ride.

A while back Emma went with me to the doctor's office. She found herself a place to sit.

Fell asleep on the way home from Bible Study.

Bundled up to go eat at the bowling alley.

Can you see the orneriness?

Feeding herself

Using her own little fork.

Picking up her food.

Sleepy head.

The bottom half was too cute to leave out.
Emma has been waking up early...as in before Steven. Yesterday she woke up at 4. I nursed her and then let her cry for 45 minutes before I let her get up. Last night she woke up at 11:30 and couldn't get back down, so I nursed her, gave her Tylenol and then held her until 12:30 when she seemed calmer and she finally went back to sleep...until 5:15. I know she is teething, needs to poop, and she apparently has a cold. So hopefully this will all pass soon, because we are all VERY tired.
I hope you all enjoyed your snow days. It is pretty cold here, in the teens, and it is currently snowing...although we are only supposed to get a dusting.

Good, cold weekend

I had a great time at my retreat...and Emma and Daddy survived. Apparently she is teething...but she woke up at 5:30 Saturday morning and didn't take a nap all day. That day would have been hard even if we had all been home. Yikes. Oh well, she took two naps on Sunday. And she had a blast playing with all the other kids at the Superbowl party. (That was a horrible game, btw.) Anyway, here are some pictures from our weekend.

Busy weekend

Well, in a couple of hours I will be going to Abilene with some ladies from our church on a women's retreat. Emma will be staying home with Daddy until about 5 tomorrow. Then Sunday is the Superbowl....not to mention that today it is supposed to be 80 out and Sunday we are expecting some winter weather. It is going to be a crazy weekend.

Real life

These pictures are not super exciting, but I suppose they are more like 'real' life. Mostly Emma saw the camera and wanted me to take pictures.
Emma has also learned how to say, 'no.' She just walks around saying it, not really to me or anything, just a new word...although she definitely knows what it means.
No, Mom. I wanted to take the pictures.

Reading a book before bedtime.

Warm weekend

We love winter in Texas, since we often get nice weather when it is typically supposed to be cold. Lately we have been having some warm and cold days every week. This weekend it was very nice out, so Emma got to play outside...among other things.
Doesn't everyone wear their flip-flops on their arms?

Pooping in the yard...this reminds me of another little girl. :)

Daddy made the mistake of feeding Emma his cereal. Not sure he got to eat much.

All ready for church!

Just chillin

Well, Emma has 3 1/2 molars in...and let me tell you...it has been a week. I didn't update yesterday because I only had blurry pictures of her crying. But today we have some better ones. :)
Eating a snack

I need more snacks, Mom.

I may have let her play with the ipad for some quiet time.

Watching Pingu.

Playing peek-a-boo with the spider game.

Boo!
I also taught her how to do Ring around the rosie...which she loves. Basically she just wants to fall down the whole song so I will tickle her. :)
