Spring break continues

Well yesterday wasn’t our best of days....lots of tears missing Daddy whonis on a hiking trip, not listening,....it was a rough day. But today was much better. Today I had planned to do a couple things, but we ended up staying home....in our pajamas...all day. It was a much better day.

We went to Aeon Mall for lunch. Papa Mike, this picture was requested for you. 😀

We had KFC. Not the healthiest, but it’s what I could get her to eat. She was having a rough morning.

She wanted to buy something with her own money. She got this headband...which she wore for all of 5 minutes.

It is snowing cherry blossoms!

We got this game from the library. She loves it and wants to play it alllll the time.

You fish in the shark’s mouth and it randomly snaps up and closes...kind of like the crocodile game.

Not the greatest picture, but she set up some tables and chairs outside so we could eat dinner out on the patio today. It was great fun...even if it was a little chilly.

We had tea and cornbread after our dinner.

One night she woke up with a stuffy nose, probably due to allergies...they are really bad here. So I showed her how to use this nasal spray...which she thinks is super cool. So she brought it out since we were outside. 🤷‍♀️

Spring Break begins

Well Soring Break is finally here! We have all been ready for a break. Steven was home Saturday and left today to go on a hike with a Japanese guy from the fire station. Emma has been off since Friday, and has been playing outside for several hours everyday. The weather has been perfect, and we are excited that spring is here. We have been baking, playing games, watching Andy Griffith and enjoying the weather.

Thursday after school: Daddy can I please have one? Its basically a Friday.

Happy girl

We made almond muffins filled with raspberry jam.

We tried to have a picnic. She ended up being scared of the bees. She thought it was hot at 69 degrees.

Daddy took her for a run. They had a great time...and she may have gotten a ring pop afterwards.

Daddy brought up a toaster oven so Emma has been cooking.

Who knew making toast could be so much fun!?

She called the tongs “tweezers.”  I have unplugged it, because I found her trying to cook things on a plastic lid as a baking sheet. 😳

Washing her dirty feet. This is becoming a daily occurrence. Usually when she comes up from playing downstairs her hands and feet are filthy.

Cherry blossoms

I stole this picture from my friend. It was taken on the street on the way to the school. I just never go over there.

I’m going to admit, the cherry blossoms are much paler than I expected. They look white most of the time. I was expecting pink like the plum blossoms were. I feel like that is blasphemy to say around here, though, they are crazy about their cherry blossoms!

Hmm....

Hmm...I wonder who could be hiding in my chair?

Dressed up for church

Cherry Blossom Festival

Saturday we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival. They are a couple days away from peak bloom...or so I hear. I have never lived anywhere there have been cherry blossom trees. Emma and I got here last year after they bloomed, like 4 days too late we were told. I have been excited to see them. I will try to take more pictures later this week.

It was cloudy, and the Blossoms are white or pale pink, so hard to see.

They just block off one of the streets by the gate with the trees, and it’s open so the Japanese can come on, too.

No ice cream this year. But she got cotton candy.

Japanese clowns.

This was the empty part of the street. It’s pretty busy and packed all afternoon.

April Fools!

Emma has been enjoying April Fools Day. She has been giving me wrong answers for everything and then saying, “April Fools!”
We had a trick planned for a Daddy. He teasingly calls Emma “Carl,” jokes that Carl is his favorite son, because girls are gross, you know. So we went to the airman’s attic (free stuff), and got a boy shirt. They didn’t have any boy pants, so we just improvised the rest.

She even talked to him in her low, ‘boy’ voice.

She had great fun. She is way too cute to be a boy.
