D-day approaching

Tomorrow is the day...we think. ;) we have had an interesting week, since all of last week we were thinking that was our last week. We had enjoyed lots of sweet family time, but then didn't know what to do with this week. So we just kind of did our normal things, with some extra family time built in. We played, shopped, relaxed, Steven packed, finalized some details, and did most of our normal activities. I picked up my computer that still doesn't work, and Steven set up the old computer so that I have something do work on until mine gets fixed. Yesterday we watched Lady and the Tramp, and had date night while Emma exhaustingly went to a friends house. I'm not going to lie, this past month has been rather tiring. We have been very flexible, but it is exhausting to be so much out of our normal routine or even our planned schedule of events. But  we have managed and soon we will settle into a new normal for a few months...with lots of skyping and getting out of the house enjoying friends and the beautiful weather. In a couple months Emma and I will head to Kansas to enjoy the summer with family. Here are a few pictures from this past week.
Emma had fun playing in her pile of toys, but not long after this I went through her toys and donated about half to the thrift shop on base. She never noticed.
We went for an evening walk, Emma didn't want to be cold in the 60-degree weather.
Beale sunset...also prime time for mosquitoes, so we headed back early.
Daddy taught her to low the dandilon seeds.
We got rid of lots of toys, but we did get her several new puzzles. She loves to do them and they are quiet. She did this one all by herself.
Trying to ride her bike. I'm no good at teaching her...
So we got daddy to help.
Hanging out while daddy packs.

Plan C

Well...Steven's stuff still didn't go through yet. Friday they said 24 hours, but that is on a weekend, so he is home for another week. He will go to this training after the other training. But he is home for another week. I had been waiting to update the blog until he left, but I will just do it now. We have been enjoying spending time with him this week. The weather has been fabulous, so we have spent a lot of time outside, going to the park, for walks, and seeing friends.
She loves to hid in the lockers at station 2.

Her favorite game
Being silly
Swinging with daddy
Jump!
Picking rocks to throw in the water
Checking out the cows
Picking a flower for mom, that she then asked for back.
We went to Target during Awana to get stuff for his trip.

Playing catch-up

This week has been very busy, and next week will be,  too. So since I haven't updated in a while, I thought I better do it while Emma is doing this:

We have been busy and she hasn't been napping as much, so after falling asleep in the car on the way to Awana, Emma spent the first half hour in my lap.
She did go to her class finally, and got this sparky pink flower pen. Oh, and our 'favorite' thing to hear every morning and all throughout the day is, "will you talk for Minnie Mouse?"
Oh you know, just doing what every three-year-old does, singing to some
Gaither music into her Hello Kitty pen.
Being silly at the park
Having Bible study with her puppies.
Playing pool with Daddy after dance class.
I love her face.

Craziness

Well...change of plans. Steven's security clearance didn't go through in time so he is home instead of in training. However, he will have to go back and do his training next week, which means he leaves this weekend and won't come home before he really leaves. So this will be our last week before he leaves. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days.
Emma did this while I was at a women's retreat. They are hanging on the cross.
And she gets very upset if you touch them.
This is what my stroller tire looks like. So instead of running...
We just went for a walk. It's very nice out this week.
Wearing sunglasses like mom.
Emma has a cold and she woke up super early yesterday, and couldn't make it all day. She fell asleep on me for a while before we went to the airport to pick up daddy.
Sorry for the bad picture, but Emma loves the escalator. We rode it several times waiting for daddy.
She found the pink section.

We are all very tired...as in brain not functioning correctly. Hopefully we can all get rested up before this weekend.

Daddy's and girls

Last night we went to the Kauffman's house for dinner to celebrate both Steven and Austin completing the EMT course and passing the national EMT certification test. It was a long time coming. Emma loved to watch their baby, who is 7 weeks old. She also loved her pretty skirt. It was a fun night. And tonight the 3 of us went out to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner after dance class. Emma decided to sit with Daddy tonight, and they sat over there snuggling, telling secrets, and other adorable things. :) she sure is going to miss him when he leaves.  But they will get some good time this weekend when I go to my PWOC women's retreat. I am coming home early to take Steven to the airport for his training in Texas. (He will get to come home for a week after this training.) but it has been nice to spend some good time with him even though he has been so busy.

Cutting fruit

Yesterday Emma got her own set of fruit that she can cut. She loved it and has been making 'smoothies' for us all.
In her pretty dress, on the way to church.
Pepper wanted to check it out, too.
Some of the coloring was off, so we had a little trouble figuring them out.

It's so loud!
We had to wait for instructions...
