Playing at the park
This summer hasn't been nearly as hot as, well, our last 5 summers. It has been nice. Saturday we were able to go to the park and play, although it was a bit windy. Emma picked out her own outfit that I realized was too short once we got to the park. But she had fun.
Ready for a run
Emma and Pepper both come with me every morning for my run. Emma sometimes still wears jammies, and usually wants to bring a toy...especially since we have been adding an extra walk in.

Riding her bike
The other day before we went to the park, Emma was riding her bike/trike. She can now reach the pedal, however, we apparently need to teach her how to use them. Maybe when Steven gets home he can help...he is usually better at explaining that stuff to her.
Oh, and Papa Steve...Emma was so excited about your birthday she woke up at 5AM....not really, but she did say something about a birthday when she got up...I will remember later when I am not so tired.

Coloring
Today was a crazy day full of lots of changes...mostly schedule stuff. I'm not always good with changes, big or small, but thankfully I am getting better. (God knew I needed lots of practice I guess, hence the military.) anyway, Emma did find a few minutes to sit quietly and color. And when I say a few minutes, it is more like seconds. Because not long after I took this picture she thought it would be fun to throw the pencils around the room. Oh well...we ended the night at the park and with a bath. One of these days I may get a picture of her bubble beard...her favorite part of bath time...that and pretending she is swimming.

Five more minutes
Emma always asks for five more minutes when it is time for bed. I usually tell her no, unless she has a good reason. Today her reason was she was eating her fruit and snuggling with Daddy...

Sunday with Mom
Steven went to work this morning, so Emma and I had lots of time to play around today. I usually try to save Sunday for a relaxing day...not doing unnecessary chores, mostly just spending good time with my family that I would otherwise be busy. That ended up being yesterday too, as I was exhausted from VBS and Emma's early morning wakes and short naps. Steven turned on some Househunters International on Netflix, and played play dough with Emma while I watched and ate a bowl of homemade strawberry ice cream...it was good. Today we relaxed by painting our toenail on the patio before church. Emma actually sat still the whole time, even for them to dry. Although I did let her play a couple games on the iPad while I did mine. After church she had a nap and then we had some friends over to play. We ended our relaxing day by coloring and watching Planet Earth...she loves to watch the animals.
Emma and dolly both had ouchies. Dolly ado has her own toothbrush.
Painted toes!
She begged me to get out her desk. She colored at it for a while. Then drug it all over the house where've she wanted to go...it is currently in her room, hopefully for her to play with when she wakes up.

VBS and breakfast
This whole week Emma and I had VBS.Emma was in the nursery, where she had a blast painting, coloring, eating Cheerios, watching mivies and playing with bubbles. I had a group of 10 kids we led around to different stations all week. I took a picture at the beginning so that if we lost one we could find them. We learned that God has the power to provide, comfort, heal, forgive and to love us forever. I loved getting to share the Truth with them...they are lucky I didn't start explaining Greek words...I almost did one day when we had extra time in snack.
Also...Emma has been feeding us breakfast this week...chicken, cake and milk.
