Going to the dentist

Today Emma had a dentist appointment. For those that don't know what, her top 4 teeth are severely decayed. We took her when she had just turned 2, and they gave us some options, but we are trying to wait until she is 3 to do anything. So we go in every 3 months for a fluoride treatment to try and hold off the sedation as long as possible. The dentists we have had before were confusing, but the lady we had today was great...and for a 2  1/2 year old, Emma did great. For her X-ray I told her to go night night and that the X-ray mat was her blanket...she seemed to mostly fall for it. Plus they have great toys and were playing Frozen. So the results from today were that as of right now we will need to put crowns on the 2 top middle teeth and extract the other 2. I wanted to wait until she is 3 because they will have to sedate her. She told me that we can do that, but I need to watch her to make sure they aren't bothering her or become abcessed, and that if we wait they may have to extract all 4 top middle teeth. I think we will at least wait until our next appointment to discuss it, mostly because I want Steven be there for that discussion...partly because he has had issues with sedation before. Anyway, I try to sneak a few pictures of the office while we were waiting.

Pictures with Emma

I let Emma get a balloon at the commissary the other day. I had gotten one for a friend's birthday last week, and Emma was very disappointed when she had the give the balloon away. So she was super excited to get her own. Also...taking pictures of Emma is always interesting. I never quite get what I had in mind, and as she gets older, it gets more complicated...she won't look at me, won't sit still, won't smile, wants to see her picture as soon as she hears it click once. I can never recreate what I had wanted to capture...plus I'm not a good photographer. So here is me trying to get a picture of Emma and her balloon..seriously this isn't even half my pictures.
Nice, but too much distraction of my floor and mess.
What Emma does when I tell her to 'smile.'
Tongue, part one.
Part two.
Eyes closed.
Won't sit still.
You mean you don't want me to wave my balloon around like this?
Pretty girl. This was the best one. :)

Spring

I'm Sorry for those of reading this who are still freezing. It has been fairly warm here lately, and we have been enjoying it.
Daddy stopped by the house to get something, and some of the kids at the park came to see the truck. The guys gave them stickers, but all except for Emma were too scared to get in the truck.

Strong face

I don't know how it happens, but somehow this week got away from me. Anyway...Emma loves to work out with me. We do different things, but today we took Pepper for a run and then worked out in Daddy's gym...it's supposed to be in the 70s for a few days...please don't hate us. Anyway, Emma is usually pretty good about watching me, keeping herself busy and even working out with me while I work out.she loves to do crunches, push ups and whatever else I am doing that day. So ermines she even super sets with me...we take turns doing the exercises. I took these on my iPad as I chased her around trying to get her to look at me, so they are blurry, sorry.
This video is from last week.
Hat
Backpack
Checking herself out....pretty sure she get this from Steven.
She looked at me!
New toy: Mom's water bottle inside Daddy's boot
She tried to make it a purse, but it was too heavy. She also made the helmet a bracelet.
Strong face! Sorta
It's heavy!

Dancing and Reading

Emma loves her dance class. Last Thursday Daddy took her to dance class, and since he pays attention better, he brought her home and they showed me what she learned. :)
And this video is just of Emma reading to herself, which she does a lot now.:) It is cute and is something she can do by herself that isn't destructive!

Emma at the fire station

So Emma has always been scared to death of Daddy's fire trucks. But for some reason when we are at station 2, she loves them. It is the first thing she wants to do when we get there. I finally took some pictures.
Trying on some gloves
Can you hear me now?
Playing with the flashlight
Emma, can you say, "Dummy?"
Glad she can't drive yet!
Riding with Daddy
Wearing Daddy's hat
This is a big truck!
