Aunt Faith and Haircut #3

I forgot to take pictures of Emma with Grandpa, sorry. :( But I did get several with Aunt Faith. Maybe if Grandpa had pigtails he would have gotten his picture taken with Emma, too. Oh well. On a side note, Emma called Faith "Tory" the whole trip. We corrected her almost every time, and every once in a while she got her name right, but I have a feeling all the Aunts are Tory for now, we will see when Aunt Grace comes to visit next week. Also, we took Emma to get her hair cut, apparently she only really needed her bangs cut, so I can really do that myself, and avoid the drama of having a total stranger put a black cape on Emma and take scissors to her head without letting me hold her. It was more traumatizing than the dentist...who had great toys btw. I will give a dentist update after her appointment Friday with the specialist.
Reading in bed.

Pigtails...oh Emma.

At least she is smiling and not picking her nose.

Trying on Aunt Faith's shoes.
Watching a movie, pre-haircut. Yes the car is parked, and yes, Emma asked for the seatbelt.

Then she apparently got caught up in her movie as she froze like this.

Emma is not a fan of getting her haircut. I think I will be doing it from now on.

Better now that Mom is holding her.

Working out with Daddy

Emma loves to watch Daddy work out, and to work out with him. The other day he went out to do a few sets and so we watched him. We practiced counting to ten on our fingers to help Daddy count his reps. Every time Emma counted she had to lift her arms like Daddy, though. Then she wanted to work out, too. Daddy, of course, obliged.

Hopefully I can get the pictures up from the last round of visitors (my dad and Faith) soon. My computer is cooperating, and Emma seems to be taking a long nap....YAY! Her sleep schedule has been off lately...either a super long nap, or barely taking one. And she has been sleeping forever long a night. Sunday morning she didn't get up until after 8:30!!! It was glorious. It is nice to feel rested.

Fun playing with Daddy

We took several videos one night when we were having fun playing with Emma. We had lots of laughs. In the juggling video, Emma just can't hardly sit still when Steven juggles, she thinks she is supposed to be knocking all the balls out of the air or something. Pepper didn't want to sit still either, until I turned the camera on, that is.

Old video

My computer FINALLY let me on to update the blog (it didn't want to connect to the internet). And I am sorry for not updating sooner...I have lots of pictures and videos to upload, so as long as my computer cooperates, I will be busy. Enjoy!
This first video is from when we lived in the hotel in Roseville for a month. I forgot to upload it then, sorry.
Emma loves to watch this video....and the one of Steven doing truck pulls, go figure.

Ring around the rosie

In Emma's nursery rhyme book, the first song is Ring Around the Rosie. So one day I showed her how to do it...and let this be a lesson, you cannot do something with a toddler just once. We now do it over and over and over again. Sometimes we all do it, sometimes just one of us, like in the first video below...but thankfully we taught her to do it with dolly so we don't get so dizzy. :)

Oops...

Steven went on a camping trip this week, and apparently I forgot to blog while he was gone. Oops. Sorry. I did take a few pictures though. Emma and I tried to keep busy while he was gone...scrapbooking, watching movies. On Wednesday we went to PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel, its a Bible Study) and the pool. Then she started having tummy troubles and so after we worked out and wen to the commissary yesterday, we just kind of hung out at home.
Emma has taken to laying in the grass lately.

She was doing crunches, but stopped when I went to get the camera.
She actually laid around like this a lot the last couple days...it is no fun to not feel good. Yesterday was actually quite busy, we went from one tummy issue to the complete opposite...if you know what I mean. Lots of cleaning. I fed her french toast sticks for dinner, hoping it was bland enough...not thinking that giving my toddler a bowl of syrup would be a bad idea. (In my defense, I have done this before and she did not make such a mess.)

Look Mom, I put my hands in it!

Now if I wave my hands over my place mat, I can make it rain syrup, too.

Don't know if you can tell, but she was starting to feel better...aka being ornery.

Strong like Daddy

The other day Steven was doing some strongman workouts, carrying the atlas stones in the back yard. Emma and I watched him, but then she wanted to do it, too.
