We took Christmas pictures with the Roses while we were home...this is pre-cold. Emma gave us all her cold, so in these pictures only she is miserable. At least she waited until after Christmas to give it to everyone else.

Christmas morning
Emma had fun Christmas morning. First, we opened presents with the Roses. At first, we had to help her...by the end she was helping us. :) Emma's present from us was a rocking horse. After nap we went to the Bencys and did stockings and presents. It was a good day to be Emma. :)
Tissue Paper
Emma got lots of fun presents for Christmas...but I think she had the most fun with the tissue paper. It was like a pile of leaves to play in, and grandma and grandpa sure made it a fun game!
Bedtime fun with Daddy
So one night, Emma was chillin with Daddy while I was getting ready for bed. I heard all this giggling from the other room...and this is what I found.
Apparently it was hilarious. Daddy sure can get the giggles out of that girl!

Bracelet party
I don't know if I have shared this, but Emma is a girly girl...all on her own. She loves accessories: Purses, bracelets, nail polish...you name it, she loves it. One night before bed, Emma went into Aunt Grace's room to play while I took a bath. When I came out, Emma was very busy playing with Aunt Grace's box of bracelet...putting them on, taking them off, handing them out so all of us girls had a bracelet to wear. She had so much fun!
Thirsty girl
You know your daughter is cute when you take pictures of her drinking water. She was just so thirsty! She drank half the glass.
A cold trip home
Brrr! That is what we were saying ever since we got to Kansas....and even on the ride there. If you haven't seen, this is what our car looked like when we got to Topeka.
We left right after Steven got off work on Friday to try and beat the worst of the storm, which I suppose we did...but it was still cold and icy. We had to keep stopping in Oklahoma to bang the ice off the windshield wipers, but other than that, the road really weren't that bad. Praise be to God for getting us home safely, in good time, and even with a good toddler, sleeping the evening away.
Our trip back to Texas was in much better weather, although it was super windy. Emma didn't do quite as well, but since they have changed so many speed limits to 75mph, we still made it in 12 hours, with two stops. We are glad to be home...Emma loved getting to see her toys. :) Here are some pictures from our ride back. ( I will be posting pictures that I took while in KS all week, so keep checking.)
Every time she put the phone up to her ear she said, "Hello." I don't know if they could hear her, but she did talk to them. It was so cute.
We called Emma's grandmas on our trip home. She misses them dearly. We do not, however, miss the cold. Our high today is 69. It is good to be home. :)
