Bubbles

We are enjoying the nicest time of year here at Beale...it's nice and sunny, green...and not too hot yet. Today we went out to do bubbles again. Emma found a new toy, sort of a bubble pipe thing. She loved paying with Pepper, who also loves bubbles.
Waiting...
Glaring at me because I'm taking her picture.
There she got one!
Ahh...green grass.

Easter Reunion

Sunday Steven had dinner(s) with Campos and his family. We knew Campos in Idaho and Texas. And he cooks the best BBQ, and Steven was more than happy to hang out and eat yummy BBQ all day Sunday....especially after some not so good food the past few weeks at his training. It was good to see them together again. :)

Spring cleaning

We have been doing some spring cleaning while Steven is gone, before we leave. Yesterday we were trying to clean the couch...cushions, vacuum under it, etc. but when we pulled out the hide-a-bed, we found more than we wanted: rust and mold on the carpet from the water coming inside from all the rain. We called housing, and they came over to check it out, and are currently deciding what to do. We left the bed open until they came, although Emma probably thought I did it just so she could jump on it.

Happy Easter!

He is alive! We had a full day, starting with taking some friends to the airport this morning. We skyped with family, went to church and then headed over to some friends for Easter lunch and an afternoon of playing. It was a good, exhausting day.

My little helper

Emma loves to clean. Well, she likes to do my jobs, not necessarily what I want her do when I want her to do it. But anyway, the other night she tried to stay up late by cleaning the bathroom, it almost worked. Then she woke up and wanted to do the dishes, so we did. And some of her help was actually helpful!

Bowling

Oh yeah...I have a blog. Oops. We took a few days 'off' and stayed home. However, with the rain we started to get a little cabin fever, so we went bowling...and maybe also to Buffalo Wild Wings. Last year when we took Emma bowling, she was scared of it all and thought it was too loud. This time she loved it. She carried her own 8 pound ball, and thanks to the bumpers she was even beating me for a while. Sometimes she would even take a running dart to push her ball down, it was great. And BWW was good too. :) we went with Misd Michelle and baby Raelynn, Whose Daddy, Austin, is currently in SanAngelo for Rescue school.
Oh, and Aunt Suzanne, Emma said she wants to go bowling with you when we get to Kansas.
"Fabulous!"
What?

St. Patrick's Day

Doing fun stuff is exhausting, let me tell you. I tried to tell Emma we would stay home tomorrow, but I need to take the van in before it rains this weekend. Today we stayed home until about 2, which I can tell we all needed. We took Pepper  for a run, which she needed. And Emma played at the park for an hour and did puzzles, and worked out with me. Then we ran a few errands, including dropping g off green cake to the FD, making a rainbow twirler (or yo-yo as Emma calls it)  at housing, dance class and final the Hearts Apart dinner for deployed families.  They had a swing dance group perform for us at the dinner, and then all the kids got up and danced. It was fun...which we have been having a lot  of lately. We need more normal I think...and sleep, lots more sleep.
Becoming slightest more adventurous at the park.
I did it!
Climbing at the clinic.
Excited for dance class and her new tap shoes.
Dancing with all the kids. I have videos that I need to go through...maybe tomorrow.
Enjoying her chocolate cupcake.
Pretending she doesn't want to smile.

Sunny outings, busy days.

Yesterday we took the van in to have the window looked at, since the drivers side window hasn't worked for, well, months. It's always a hassle to take it in because of the whole car seat thing. But since we took it to someone on base, and it was finally nice and sunny out, we were glad for the opportunity to get some fresh air. We walked to the library, and then to the bowling alley for lunch. Afterward, we picked up the van and stopped by the commissary for some colorful treats for PWOC. Seriously, we have been so busy I can hardly figure out what day it is. And we just can't seem to get our sleeping adjusted yet; we just feel off without Daddy  around. But by the grace of God we make it through each day. Yesterday and today were particularly exhausting, but our week should start to slow down tomorrow. Oh, and for those wondering, it was the motor in the window, and it is fixed. Finally. Although now my back window is open and won't move.
At the library.
Stepping on my shadow.
We actually found healthy food at the bowling alley, this is what she picked.
Doing our nails.
I'm usually the 'Pinterest-fail' person, but this one was a success! A rainbow with a pot of gold.
I helped with Emma's class today at PWOC. They were taking turns being Jesus on Palm Sunday.
The last part of Emma's turn.
Being doctor Emma at Peppers appointment.
It was crazy hair night at Awana.
But really it wasn't that crazy, just adorable.

About that sleep...

So...yesterday Emma took a 3.5 hour nap...Which she obviously needed, however, she then woke up this morning at 5:51, which felt like 4:51 to me. Ugh..this is why we did away with long naps. The alone time was nice, but next time I will either join her or wake her up. Anyway, I was dragging this morning, but we made it to the gym and were very excited for the sunny skies. After our chores we headed to Roseville to pick up her plate that she painted, and get some tap shoes for dance class. We may have also stopped inside the Disney store, because, well, you will see. :) And even though we had an early morning, we stayed up late to see Daddy because we didn't get to at all yesterday. His schedule is so weird and long we don't ever know when or if we will get to talk to him each day. But Emma definitely notices when we don't get to talk to him. It was the first thing she told me this morning, that we didn't talk to Daddy yesterday, and then later she had a pretend conversation with him on her 'phone.' I am so thankful for  her Daddy pillow...since we didn't talk to Daddy yesterday, she kissed him goodnight on her pillow.:)
Emma had endless energy today. These are her 'running clothes,' as she does laps around the house.
Inside the Disney store...the princess castle was calling to her.

Rainy day fun

We have been having lots of rainy day fun lately...since every day has been rainy. But today Landon came over for several hours while his parents were busy moving houses on base. They had a blast...Emma loves to 'mother' him, and he seemed to like it. We got out for a quick bike ride before the rain started, but weistly played inside. After he left Emma and I went to the gym for a short workout. And she went to bed early since  she was beyond tired...and the time change. I'm hoping for extra sleep tonight, not less. :)
Coloring with special markers that only work on this book.
Out for a ride. Landon loved it and did not want to get off and go inside.
Almost fell asleep.
Doing crunches on the bosu ball.
