We're back!

Well, we all had a good, long Spring Break. Steven is much more rested, and his classes end Tuesday night, that is unless he gets them done tonight. Emma and I had lots of fun getting to see everyone and eating lots of delicious food, until my stomach revolted...the night before our flight home. (I ended up with the stomach flu the day after we got back to TX.)  So I am just now getting around to uploading pictures and going through them. I found some that I hadn't uploaded from before we left, so I will post those today. I will be posting throughout the week with pictures from our trip. And if you have any pictures of your own, please send them my way!
She finally discovered Big Bird!

And I found her arranging her 'friends' on the step.

Too cute for words.

She had a late nap after playing with (real) friends, and I had to wake her up. :(

I am slowly going crazy...

I am so glad spring is here so Emma can play outside. This winter seems like it was longer than others, partly because I now have to figure out how to entertain a toddler in a tiny house. We all start to go a little stir crazy. She loves to play outside, so anytime she can, I let her. It makes our house feel bigger. Emma and I are coming to Kansas on Sunday for Spring Break. We are very excited to see everyone...and to get in some free babysitting. We are very tired...Emma has been teething, (aka waking up a lot a night), and she gets up at the crack of dawn (like 5 AM people). Daddy also has a lot of homework to do, and although I know Emma loves her Daddy, he doesn't always need as much 'help' as she tries to give him. ;) So Emma and I are coming home to get some rest, stretch out in a big house and have fun with everyone. And we are leaving Steven at home to do his homework in peace and quiet, without Emma 'helping' by unplugging his computer, stealing his papers, etc..and so he can sleep, too. One of the challenges of being in the military is not having our family around to help when we need it, so we are just coming to them. I don't think they will mind. :)

Playing outside this morning
I love Emma, but this was our whole morning...I can't wait for her to have other people to play with. She was just really tired today.  :)
She is probably crying because I wouldn't let her feed Pepper the whole box of cheerios.

I think even Pepper will enjoy the break from being 'loved,' although she will miss all the snacks.

Windy day

Today was very windy here...which means we got to fly a kite! Sorry, no pictures since I was flying the kite. But we had fun.
Here are some other pictures from today:
Reading her book

She is a speed reader. :)

I thought it was cold this morning, so I made her put a coat on. It wasn't really that cold.

Rearranging my spice drawer.

Smile!

This is what she did when I told her to smile.
Reading to her dolly
Steven took videos of Emma trying to get her doll to stay on the turtle. She must have picked that thing up 20 times before it stayed. Then she read to it. :) But the videos wouldn't upload. :(
Carrying her purse outside, just in case.

Teething....forever

Well, sometimes it seems like Emma will be teething forever. I know it isn't true, but that is how tired we feel. Last night she was carrying around the bottle of tylenol with the medicine dropper in her mouth...I swear I don't give her tylenol that often...she is not addicted. Although she does take it very well, we don't even have to fight her anymore...as you can tell. Apparently she now asks for it. I didn't give her any last night, but I did this morning. She was asking for it again, and she has just been chewing on her lip and everything in sight, and wouldn't even eat her lunch very well. So I gave her medicine and put her down for an early nap. She went right to sleep. :) The other pictures are of her making her dolly ride the rocking horse, which she thought was quite funny.

Helping with chores

Emma was very helpful today. Here she is helping with the dishes. She also helped me put the laundry in the washer.

Swinging at the park

Today Emma and I went to a place with indoor bouncy houses...Emma was quite afraid of it all...it was kind of loud. It took her like a half hour just to get off my lap without crying. Then she only wanted to go down the slide, over and over and over again. She didn't want to climb up like the other kids, only go down. She did kind of start to enjoy herself, playing on the slide by herself and running around crazy towards the end...but no bouncing for this little petite flower. She would only bounce on the slide while sitting down. Oh well, one day she will figure it out. And her stranger danger is still going...one of the other moms tried to play with her, she came running to me crying after that.  Poor girl.

These videos are from last Saturday at the park.

Silly girl

I don't know if you know this, but we have a silly girl. She has such a little personality coming out, and is learning new things everyday...new words or skills like doing puzzles. I love watching her figure things out.
These pictures are from this weekend. The first one is Emma 'watching' the kitty video. We usually let her watch it on the weekends, or when she gets up earlier than my sanity. In this picture she is laying down on the floor watching it up-side-down, which is not unusual. In the second picture she has just woken up from her nap and is putting all of her things on her couch. She is really into cleaning lately...which I don't mind. :)

I forgot to add this last one: Emma made Lambchop kiss Raggedy Ann. She has been making her animals kiss lately...going Mmmm-ah!

Miscellaneous adorableness

Today Emma and I went out to go grocery shopping and feed the ducks while Daddy did some homework. Emma really enjoyed feeding the ducks...I have no pictures because I was holding her. We also played at the park and kicked her new ball around. It was so nice out...our high today is supposed to be 89. Crazy...weather considering the weather the rest of the country is having.  The first two pictures are old ones from my ipod, the last one is from today.

Eating on the patio at Rosas...Mmmm.

Chick-fil-a

Today at the Riverwalk.
