Busy weekend

Well, in a couple of hours I will be going to Abilene with some ladies from our church on a women's retreat. Emma will be staying home with Daddy until about 5 tomorrow. Then Sunday is the Superbowl....not to mention that today it is supposed to be 80 out and Sunday we are expecting some winter weather. It is going to be a crazy weekend.

Real life

These pictures are not super exciting, but I suppose they are more like 'real' life. Mostly Emma saw the camera and wanted me to take pictures.
Emma has also learned how to say, 'no.' She just walks around saying it, not really to me or anything, just a new word...although she definitely knows what it means.

Warm weekend

We love winter in Texas, since we often get nice weather when it is typically supposed to be cold. Lately we have been having some warm and cold days every week. This weekend it was very nice out, so Emma got to play outside...among other things.

Well, Emma has 3 1/2 molars in...and let me tell you...it has been a week. I didn't update yesterday because I only had blurry pictures of her crying. But today we have some better ones. :)

Last night we were at the mall and Emma pointed to the ride. She always does, but usually I figure she isn't big enough. But I sat her in the boat, and then decided to let her ride...she seemed surprised that it moved and made noise. Watch for yourselves...

Apparently Emma and I have been having a blast playing around the house...because that is what all my pictures are of. I would say sorry that there are so many, but she is too cute not to share them. :)

Emma dancing

I caught a snipit (which isn't a word) of Emma dancing this afternoon. She usually does more than this, but you get the idea...it's adorable.

What do you do with a baby?

Today at lunch, Emma saw one of her baby pictures on the wall, and kept pointing at it. So I said, "That's a baby." Immediately she started doing this rocking motion, and I said, "Yes, Emma. Are you rocking your baby?" I had to get a video of it, it was so cute.

Emma got a new potty...just to try out for now. Little potties now are very advanced...the sing when you tinkle, and this one also serves as a step stool and you can use part of it on the big potty, too.

Chatty Cathy

Emma has been very social lately...starting to show her little personality, which is apparently very talkative. Yesterday she kept walking around, holding random things up to her ear, walking around talking...as if it was a phone. So I called some of our family and let them hear some of what she had to say..which was a lot.

New Camera

For Christmas, we got a new camera...so we wouldn't miss anymore of Emma's smiles. :)  The SD card I ordered finally came in, so now I can capture each and every smile I want. Here are a few from this weekend...

Also... Emma has been sleeping through the night...although I wish she would sleep later in the morning. She has also apparently changed her nap time without telling me. I tell you what, I cannot keep up with this girl!!!
This morning she woke up and said all kinds of animal sounds...she roared with the tigers and lions, neighed with the horse, and even did some whoo-whoos for the owl. Her meows sound more like moos now. And be jealous..our door is open, in January...but not too jealous, it's to air out the poop smell from all the fun diapers we have been having. ;)

Emma's first haircut

Well yesterday was the day! Emma finally got her hair cut. Yesterday was actually a big day...we went to story time at the library where we also had lunch, went on a wagon ride AND she got a hair cut. (And I wish you could see her jamming out to Journey right now. Emma loves to dance to music.) Anyway, the stylist thought she did a good job, but she was pretty uneasy about the whole thing...I mean a complete stranger was coming at her head with scissors. I guess I could see how she would be unsure about it.
