Today it was really nice outside...I am in shorts. Anyway, we played outside for a long time and took a long walk. It was nice to get out.

Early Christmas

We had our family Christmas this past Saturday. I know it's early, but we wanted to do it before we came home, and we leave next Saturday. Now, I was very excited for this...as Emma has been trying to get to the presents ever since I wrapped them. I thought she would just tear into them, but we had to help her. Maybe  I should have given her a box to open, she seems to like those better. The boxes, themselves. Oh well. Prepare for lots of pictures.

I don't really know what to call this post. Emma playing? Emma making piles Really I couldn't figure out what she was doing. She kept trying to put her kitty under the table. Then she added some nail polish and a box. Sometimes I wish I knew what was going on in her little mind. Anyway, here she is:

"Baby" Emma

Today Steven's old workout buddy, Jesse, and his family came for a visit. The have a a three-year-old and a brand new baby, so Steven got out the bouncer seat. After they left, Emma decided that she wanted to get in it. She never saw the baby in it, but it must have looked like fun. She loved the buckle straps, of course, and she can bounce/rock it herself now. She was quite pleased with herself.

Her Sunday Best

Here is Emma's very puffy dress from Sunday. She was super cute...and I am sorry, I couldn't get a smile out of her since she was hungry and tired.

Snow Day

It really should be called Ice Day, because we seem to have more ice than snow.  Daddy got to stay home from work today...and we play outside for a few minutes, just to see how Emma would like it. She wanted to keep playing, of course, but we were cold.

Texas Winter

Well, one of the reasons I love Texas is the 86 degree days we have in December. That's right. We were in shorts yesterday! We walked to the commissary and grilled hamburgers with our new neighbors. (One of whom is from Rolla, for those interested.) Anyway, Emma has been pushing her cart all along the sidewalk lately. We usually put her orange ball on it, but it was too windy yesterday. I also have some other random pictures from the last couple days. And don't be too jealous of our weather. Today our high is 37.

And for those that are keeping track, Emma has slept much better the past couple nights. Yesterday I woke up and felt like I had gotten the best sleep I had in weeks. I was like, 'this is how normal people feel!' It was nice to have some energy when I woke up.

Teddy bears and nail polish

We are not really decorating for Christmas this year...partly because of our small house, partly because of Emma, but mostly because we are coming home for Christmas. But I wanted to get some stuff out, to be a little festive. The box I got out happened to have some stuffed animals in it. Emma loves them. She carries them around and hugs them. On Saturday, she was frustrated because she couldn't sit in her chair with all of her other favorite things. She kept trying, and it was so cute, so I took her to the first step and sat her down. She was much happier. :) And yes, she loves nail polish, too. Also, the white bear is the first toy that we have had to keep away from Pepper. She has already gotten to it, but we saved it before she destroyed it.
Side note: As I am typing this, she is 'reading' herself a book, out loud. :)
