Well, this afternoon it was nice out so I decided to take Emma and Pepper for a walk. I started like every walk, wrapped Pepper's leash around the stroller handle and we were off. Pepper is really pretty good on walks...doesn't react much to the other dogs who are barking at her and stays pretty close. Some times she get stickers or goat heads in her paws..she limps and we have to stop and remove them. Today, we got some goat heats in her paws, so we stopped, and I began taking them out of her paws. The next think I know, the stroller is falling off the curb and into the street. Naturally, I panicked. I let go of Pepper and set the stroller up, as Emma hung up-side-down in her car seat, tightly strapped in. Our mail was all over the street, and Pepper was off sniffing a tree. Thankfully, the street was not busy and has a slow speed limit, and several people stopped to help me corral my dog and my stuff and to see if we needed any help. I also prayed and called Steven frantically because I was afraid I had scarred Emma for life and she would have some massive brain trauma. (She seems just fine...and was getting impatient with me that we were not going anywhere while we waited for Daddy. She also giggled quite a bit when I had the hiccups this afternoon.) I figured that was about all the walking I felt like doing, so we came home. Praise the Lord that Emma is OK. He was watching over us this afternoon, as always.
Here is Emma afterwards.....she seems like herself to me...and getting so big!
